Big Surprise: Google Isn’t Happy With Android App Sales - What Might Happen
Company Insight
On January 26, Google’s Android Marketplace point person Eric Chu said that Google is not happy with the rate of app sales for Android Marketplace and that during the first quarter of 2011, Google would be making significant improvements. Chu mentioned that Google would introduce an in-app payment solution, and will further pursue carrier billing options. He also said Google was working on their app discovery tools – improving the algorithm for ranking apps.
