Continua Backs Bluetooth Low Energy Even Ahead of Its Completion
After months of deliberation, the Continua Health Alliance has just announced the two wireless protocols it will include in its own telehealth and fitness systems specifications. ZigBee and Bluetooth Low Energy (BTLE) are the winners and will both be included in Version Two of the Alliance’s Design Guidelines. What is notable, however, is that BTLE doesn’t even exist yet.
