Have you noticed the small flurry of M2M SDP (Service Delivery Platform) partnership and deployment announcements that have been made over the past few months? In September 2010, Telstra (the incumbent mobile operator in Australia) announced its adoption of the Jasper Wireless Control Center SDP. AT CTIA Fall 2010 in San Francisco, in October, Canadian mobile operator TELUS announced its adoption of Sierra Wireless’ AirVantage SDP. Finally, third-place US mobile operator Sprint also announced in October its deployment of its own self-built SDP offering. What overall impact have SDPs had on the growth of the cellular M2M market?
