Vodafone VDSL to Improve Broadband and IPTV
- Published 28 Apr 2010 by Khin Sandi Lynn
The demand for broadband connections has increased steadily over the past few years. Cable and ADSL broadband technologies currently dominate the broadband market, comprising 25% and 65% of the market share, respectively. Over the past few years, many telecom companies have been deploying fiber optic networks to offer increased broadband access speeds. VDSL is another technology that can deliver high-speed broadband. Recently, Germany’s second largest telecom operator, Vodafone, announced its plans to offer VDSL service by the end of 3Q 2010.
