Did Last Year's Broadband Stimulus Application Blitz Hurt the Wireless Ecosystem?
During the first half of 2009, the broadband stimulus package was the talk of the telecommunications industry. Some companies, however, were unable to participate during the application process due to tight restrictions, but many others did apply. The criteria, by which they were going to choose if a company’s plan was going to receive a stimulus package or not, were well known. What was unknown was the weight that would be placed on each criterion, which would have been useful for tailoring the proposed business plans to fit the government’s requirements.
