E-Mail, Online Data Storage, Photo Storage and Sharing, Anti-Virus/Anti-Spam, and PC Backup

Research Report

In January 2010, ABI Research surveyed a total of 1,003 U.S. adult consumers on their awareness and usage of cloud computing applications. Respondents were asked about the type(s) of computers, operating systems and Internet connections they typically use, their computer-related activities at home and work, and their awareness of and experience with web-based applications aimed at consumers. While many consumers reported familiarity with at least one cloud-based application, few indicated any willingness to pay for their use.

This study contains information on the respondents to this study and their specific responses when asked about their familiarity, use and potential use of web-based applications, as well as how much they potentially would pay to be able to access and use such applications.
