It would be the world’s worst cliche to say that we are awash in electronic devices. From cell phones, laptops, net-books and MIDs to GPS hardware of all types and microwave ovens plus everything in-between. Modern day electronics often contains microprocessors and memory and these devices need some type of an operating system to run. The operating system can consist of very basic embedded instructions to perform minimalist tasks to full-blown OS’s that are used on desktop computers and beyond.
