Cisco Joins the DJIA
The recent announcement that Cisco Systems would replace the ailing General Motors on the Dow Jones Industrial Average stirred some thoughts. Cisco Systems becomes only the third Nasdaq listed company to be added to the DJIA, joining Intel and Microsoft. Certainly all of these companies reflect the growing importance of technology in the US economy, but, the first question that popped into my mind was – why Cisco?
