It’s time for WLAN equipment vendors to put on their alligator shoes and $1000 suits and head to Washington to direct some of the massive Obama Recovery Act funds their way. Actually, it looks like much of the work has already been done for them. In President Obama’s most recent radio address, he started to flesh out some details for the massive $900 billion bill. He pointed to mass transit systems, roadways, and protection of ninety major seaports. He also pointed to “better communications for local law enforcement and public safety officials in the event of an emergency.” So, what are the opportunities for Wi-Fi equipment vendors?
