The Smartphone's Achilles' Heel: Battery Life
Smartphones are becoming ever more popular as service providers offer attractive data rate plans coupled with an increased selection of devices. Of course, the availability of iconic devices such as the Apple iPhone and new Samsung Instinct has done a lot to bring attention to the market. The forecast for smartphone use is predicted to steadily increase as time goes by. This all sounds great but there is something wrong with this picture. It’s not a deal-breaker, though it continually lurks in the background: and that something is battery life. No matter what brand of smartphone, battery life remains at the top of the list of frustrations and complaints. A brief visit to any of the myriad service provider and brand forums clearly shows that this is a major issue for users.
