Dell Smartphones: More of the Same
There has been a fair amount of speculation about Dell entering the smartphone market with a smartphone of its own. The key reasons are Dell competitors such as Apple, HP, and Toshiba are already in the smartphone market, which is becoming too large to ignore; Dell has yet to fill the void left from its Axim PDA device line; and Dell has hired former Motorola executive Ron Garriques to lead its global consumer division.
