This report considers the impact of Sony's game console brand and hardware on the devices/technologies found in consumers' households. Supporting the analysis is data collected from a primary study conducted online in March 2011 in the following countries: France, Germany, UK, China, India, and South Korea - each country had 1000 completes (data however, is mostly reported by region). The report is structured as a PowerPoint file with data and analyst commentary. While all generations of game consoles were considered, Sony's PlayStation 2 (PS2) and PlayStation 3 (PS3) were the most-owned Sony consoles - commentary as it relates to other game console platforms is also included where appropriate. Historical shipments of the PS2 and PS3, as well as ABI Research's worldwide game console forecast, are also included.
