At the IFA tech conference in Berlin, Samsung announced the Samsung Note, a device with a 5.3 inch display and a built-in stylus called the S pen. Samsung states that the Note strikes the perfect balance between smartphone portability and media tablet viewing. The device runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), although there is some mixed messaging: Samsung is initially calling this device a smartphone or even a super smartphone.
