Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) are entering a new phase in production that shows a shift from availability solely on luxury and executive vehicles to their introduction into higher volume products. Along with the growth in volume, the sensor prices have been coming down in cost as silicon fabrication efficiencies are implemented. Additional functionality and multiple features from sensors are expected to provide customers with greater incentive to choose ADAS options when specifying new vehicles over the next few years. This overview report captures the important highlights of six recent individual ADAS reports completed since the beginning of 4Q10. The tables originated from ABI Research's Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) Market Data, but the time frame has been extended to 2020 and the assumptions have been updated. While the majority of this report is a high-level summary of the six other reports, the longer time frame is new to automotive, and will be featured in updates to all future reports.
