In May 2011, ABI Research surveyed 1,000 adults who are involved in decision making or energy services for their homes, on their familiarity with Smart Grids and Smart Meters and their understanding of the potential benefits offered by each. They also were asked about their awareness and understanding of Solar Panels and Wind Turbines as ways that consumers can generate renewable energy and reduce their home electrical bills.
