Research Reveals RF Signals from RFID Do Not Interfere with Biologics

Key research results indicating that RF signals do not interfere with protein structures of biologics remove a key RFID usage concern among some sections of the healthcare industry. This finding results from a two-year study conducted by two universities and eight biopharmaceutical companies, including Abbott Laboratories, Amgen, Merck Serono, GlaxoSmithKline, Merck & Co/Schering-Plough, Pfizer, and Sanofi Pasteur.
