Rumors were swirling for a few days that Amazon would be creating a digital locker service that would store consumers' music and video files for remote access from a multitude of connected devices. On March 28th those rumors turned to reality as Amazon introduced Amazon Cloud Drive and Amazon Cloud Player. Cloud Drive offers 5GB of free storage for a variety of file types including documents, music, pictures, and videos. Additional storage can be purchased for $1 per GB per year. The Cloud Player is a music player that can work through web browsers as well as Android devices. Files can be uploaded from the user's PC/Mac plus any music purchased through Amazon MP3 store is automatically stored in the Cloud Drive. If a user purchases an album from Amazon MP3, the online storage is upgraded to 20GB for free.
