An Option to Opt Out of the Smart Grid

Utilities are just not doing what they must in order to engage end-users in making the Smart Grid a reality, and a new poll proves this. A Harris poll of more than 3,000 adults surveyed online found that more than half had never heard the term “smart grid,” and even more weren’t sure whether a “smart grid,” whatever that is, would make their electricity cost more (nearly a quarter of respondents were sure it would).
