In August, 2008 and April, 2009, ABI Research conducted online studies among adult US consumers concerning their use of different types of GPS navigation devices in automobiles.

This Research Brief provides the comparative survey results for the portion of questions that were asked of respondents in both years. Topics covered in this Brief include types of devices and specific brands used, length of ownership and price paid, feature usage, satisfaction with devices, and future purchase plans. Questions were also asked about the use of traffic information, map updates, and POI downloads.
