Baidu's Mobile OS Plans - Day Dreamer or Serious Contender

Today Chinese web services company Baidu announced it was also going to enter the mobile handset OS market. As a number of commentators have mentioned, the space is getting pretty crowded. Why does Robin Li, Baidu’s chief executive, believe there is a need for (yet) another mobile OS?
