This Forecast Database tracks the Home Automation Systems market on the basis of system shipment and product revenue. Shipments and revenue are segmented on the basis of region (including North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, and the Middle East & Africa) and deployment segment (including Luxury, Mainstream, DIY, and Managed). Both 2010 (actual shipment/revenue data) as well as the period from 2011 - 2016 (forecasted shipment / revenue data) are provided.

The Forecast Database is the result of a three-stage process: information collection from primary and secondary sources, information organization, and information analysis. Unit shipment information was sourced from relevant home automation systems vendors (both in terms of actual shipments as well as guidance on ABI Research estimates), who also provided approximate ASP information and insight into overall shipment and ASP trends. In addition, ABI Research also took a "top down" approach in compiling this database, estimating the likely TAM over time for the main deployment segments and regions noted.
