3D Continues with New Content Sources

The selection of 3D content available to those consumers with 3D TVs has been increasing over the past few months. The content is coming in the form of additional 3D Blu-ray titles, but also dedicated 3D channels and on-demand content from pay-TV operators. Recently, DirecTV announced the launch of 3net, its first 3D channel that brings together content from Discovery, Sony, and IMAX. As a result of the partnership, the content is primarily documentaries including a piece on the Great Wall of China and a program on ecological disasters that have impacted Earth.
