Consulting firm Deloitte LLP has made some interesting observations from its recent survey of “Generation Y” consumers. Although this research is focused on the US market in particular, many of the conclusions apply to other developed nations. In the current world of high-speed digital communications, trends spread rapidly. Although automotive technology still moves more slowly than mobile telephones or fashion, we see indications that those manufacturers who can meet the expectations of the new breed of consumer can win customer loyalty.
