Voice, Data, Mobile Phones: Oh My!

As someone whose entire familial unit shares one mobile phone “for emergencies only” and pays a mere $19.67/month for a plan that barely includes charging said phone’s battery, I feel like there is an entire world inside these phones that maybe I’m missing out on. I hardly use my mobile phone for personal reasons, so I have never felt the need to have one for business reasons; to be honest, I kind of like the perceived shroud of mysteriousness that comes along with not always having a mobile phone with me. But still…what is going on in those phones beneath the flying fingers of their preoccupied users?
