Smart Mobile Device Security Is an Increasing Area of Focus and Necessity

While much attention has been focused on the advances and increasing uptake of smartphones and devices such as laptops and tablets connected via mobile broadband, little has been given to the risks that are surely waiting around the corner. However, despite the lack of publicity, the number of announcements about new solutions targeting this issue has increased, including a number of developments that increase the level of security embedded within the connected device. This is a much needed area of development since, as the level of openness and connectivity grows, so does the number – and variety – of threats.
