Industry Collaboration: A Necessary Ingredient for RFID Adoption?

Often, numerous case studies are conducted, papers are written, business cases are presented, and forecasts are made based on the perceived value a specific technology offers or has the potential to offer. The technology may “appear” to have great promise for substantial improvements in efficiency, reduced losses due to data errors, and numerous other benefits that add up to a tremendous “ROI” if businesses would only adopt it. For many of these technologies, collaboration just may be the new “must have” for market adoption of technology.
