Junos Pulse: Juniper Rises Up to the Mobile Security Challenge

Today, Juniper Networks announced the launch of its Junos Pulse Mobile Security Suite to address one of the most daunting challenges in the endpoint security market: mobile security. Junos Pulse for mobile devices consists of two components, the software client solution, which has a personal (host-centric) firewall, anti-virus, anti-spam, loss/theft protection and device monitoring and control features, and the Juniper Networks SA Series SSL VPN gateways, a high-performance product that has propelled Juniper to the leadership position in the global SSL VPN gateway market. Juniper is expected to deliver the solution to enterprises through Juniper partners and managed security services providers. The client software, which will be available as a free downloadable app on the App Store, will extend Juniper’s security footprint beyond enterprise customers into the consumer space as well.
