Bargain hunting, a new development in e-commerce, will push mobile commerce revenues to new heights. A growing number of companies have developed localized, specialized, and time-sensitive e-commerce shopping opportunities, offering bargains on a wide range of goods and services, including food and drink, spa, health and beauty treatments, and designer apparel. Most of these US-centric players do not offer specific mobile options today, but ABI Research believes most will before the end of 2010, and that the phenomena will quickly spread to Western Europe and parts of Asia.
