With Moonha, Is SAP Poised To Jump Start Mobile Commerce?

While SAP’s acquisition of Sybase has been big news in terms of SAP’s mobile interests, SAP has quietly been working with Swiss firm Quantex to put together an over-the-top mobile commerce pilot. This might bring real momentum to physical location mobile commerce, enabling a broad range of consumers to use mobile devices to purchase goods and services at retail locations. Will this completely eliminate any direct participation by MNOs or handset OEMs?
