In a recent conversation with a mobile platform vendor, ABI Research learned that carriers are gaining a deeper understanding of how customers perceive their billing relationship with their mobile operators. Carriers have learned from survey results that customers expect their monthly bills (from carriers) to be a certain amount and if the bill exceeds that amount, customers get upset, often calling the operator to complain. However, the survey results had an interesting twist.
