Comcast Buys NBC Universal. Lessons for Operators

Recently, Comcast bought a majority stake in NBC Universal. The transaction increases Comcast’s content holdings adding to its media arsenal USA, Bravo, MSNBC, and CNBC cable channels. The cable industry appears to be on solid footing financially and bolstering its content arsenal will help address competitive threats from satellite and IPTV providers.
