ABI Research collects 4G (mobile WiMAX and LTE) city deployment data by service provider in each country in each region. This data is delivered as a kmz file, which is a compressed Google Earth map file. In order to view the data, you must install Google Earth which is available for free here: http://earth.google.com. Please note that this data also includes 802.16d deployments. 802.16d is not a 4G technology, but rather a fixed point-to-multipoint wireless technology. Any of the network types can be selected or deselected at the left hand side of the screen.

These data are presented graphically on an interactive Google Earth globe. Each city hosting a deployment is shown by a color-coded push-pin indicating the type of 4G air interface. A click on each pin will display a variety of details, including:

• City
• Operator
• Licensing Information
• Network Type
• Spectrum Band
• Population Coverage
