Hotspot provider Boingo has been keeping records for the last few years on the mix between laptop and mobile users of its hotspots. The change over the past three years at Boingo airport Wi-Fi hotspots has been dramatic:

•    May 2007     Laptop 99.9%      Mobile .1%
•    May 2008     Laptop 88.5%      Mobile 11.5%
•    May 2009     Laptop 73.9%      Mobile 26.1%
