New Solar Power Capacity Isn’t Waiting for Recovery

With the passage of the Energy Improvement and Extension Act of 2008, part of the Wall Street bailout, the 30% tax credit for residential and commercial solar installations was extended through 2016. An interesting innovation within the Act is that utilities now are eligible for that tax credit, where only individual consumers were eligible for it before.
