Plug-in Vehicles Favor Homeowners

There are a number of different types of Electric and Hybrid Electric vehicles, but all incorporate one basic principle: you have to charge the battery. Some hybrids feature small gas or fuel-cell engines that kick in to charge the batteries when they get low; in some models, they’ll even take over propulsion of the vehicle if the electric drive doesn’t have enough power to function. Purely electric vehicles (EVs) need to be plugged in once their charge is depleted, so they can replenish their fuel supply from the power grid.
