Mobile Linux Is Not Open, Mobile Linux Is Not Free

Ask anybody who’s vaguely aware of Mobile Linux what thoughts first come to mind and you'll hear that the system is free and it is open. Linus Torvald’s chest would swell with pride. However, this off-the-cuff response is pretty far from the actual reality, especially in the mobile device OS marketplace. This could either be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on your view and position in the mobile market.
