Commercial Telematics Features Strongly in ITS Status Report

The US Department of Transportation has been tracking ITS implementations since 1995, and publishes an annual update report on status, progress, and lessons learned. The Department has a very useful web site with lots of data (www.its.dot.gov/index.htm) that offers everything from executive summaries to detailed individual project reports. The 2008 Update provides some interesting insights into the commercial telematics applications that are contributing to the steady growth of ITS.
