In early July, ABI Research analyst Dan Shey traveled through several countries in Eastern Europe, planning to experience these countries through the lens of the Nokia N95 mobile phone. That lens seemed to provide all things that mobile has to offer: pictures and video messaging, Internet, mobile usage inside buildings, airports and subways. Some of the experiences were uniquely mobile while others were uniquely Eastern European. The N95 is Nokia’s first device with multimedia capabilities that rival the best digital cameras/camcorders for recording and playback, along with a full suite of mobile phone functions.
