With the Technology Barometer™: Digital Lifestyle service, ABI Research goes straight to the consumer to track current ownership and next 6-month purchase intentions for a wide array of consumer electronics products. Every six months, 8000 consumers from seven countries complete comprehensive online questionnaires that gather information on usage, purchase intentions and purchase drivers, as well as video and audio purchase and rental behavior, and video content viewership behavior.

Consumers are constantly adding and replacing the type and number of consumer electronics devices in their homes, with a trend towards device integration. In order to take advantage of this behavior and assess demand for new products and services, manufacturers and marketers need to better understand consumer behavior.
