Today’s children learn rather quickly how to connect, for example, their Leapfrog to the TV: yellow to yellow, white to white, red to red. Of course, these colors refer to the video plug and the L/R audio RCA plugs, which are accessible on most TVs. Alternatively, there are many consumers who refuse to go near the backs of electronics gear with all those wires and connectors. So it would seem that wireless technology could take the complexity out of these connections and make the act of installing new equipment run smoother, but is this really the case? And wasn’t this a promise of UWB?
