Agile Thinking: RFID and the Enterprise

There has been plenty of buzz in recent years about the real-time, or agile, enterprise. However, moving a company in that direction is challenging, especially if the associated business process change involves significant IT change. This is often the case when introducing an RFID system within an enterprise. An RFID implementation often means new technology adoption as well as - and perhaps more importantly - significant business process change. ABI Research believes RFID can readily boost enterprise agility through greater operational visibility on demand, swift deployment, and cost-effective solution expansion.
