Research Theme

No longer are consumers and business audiences asked to imagine a three-dimensional (3D) world with which they can interact.  The capabilities for 3D viewing exist now in an increasing range of displays and devices.  Content and applications that incorporate a 3D experience are emerging.  The 3D Research Theme encompasses 3D televisions in addition to the emergence of 3D in mobile devices (including smartphones, media tablets, and portable game players).  The emergence and adoption of 3D content, along with new experiences in device navigation, are also addressed.
