ABI Research Brings Cyber Security Expertise to IMPACT International Advisory Board

ABI Research announces the acceptance of an invitation to President & CEO Tim Archdeacon to participate on the International Advisory Board of ITU-IMPACT.
The IAB is chaired by His Excellency President of Burkina Faso Blaise Compaor and includes distinguished ministers and diplomats from Montenegro, Trinidad & Tobago, Kenya, Oman, and Azerbaijan as well as the Secretary General of the Organization international de la Francophonie, the CEO of the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organization and representatives of private industry companies Symantec and Kaspersky. Dr. Hamadoun Tour, the Secretary-General of the ITU is also a member of the IAB as is the Chairman of IMPACT, Datuk Mohd Noor Amin.

“The IAB is an important union of public and private participation geared to common goal of improving cybersecurity preparedness and ensuring that the people of all nations have safe and secure access to ICTs,” said Secretary-General Dr. Hamadoun I. Tour of the ITU. “We are pleased to have active participation from private sector firms like ABI Research.”
“ABI Research has been an active supporter of Cyber Security workshops in developing nations and remains a strong supporter of the important work in the area of Cybersecurity being championed by the ITU and IMPACT,” said Archdeacon, “I personally look forward to working with the members of the IAB and the ITU on the development of cooperative guidelines toward our common goals.”
