ABI Research is looking for an Account Executive to develop new sales and nurture existing client relationships in Latin America. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and talented individual to achieve success within a fast growing research house in the communications space.
Main Responsibilities include:

  • Develop new sales, by targeting key client prospects
  • Establish, manage and develop an ongoing rapport with existing clients and explore further business opportunities
  • To liaise with the analyst team in order to learn more about client market trends and provide valuable feedback that will shape and develop our research services
The successful candidate must have a strong sales background with experience of working within the market research sector.  The position will ideally be filled within Sao Paolo though other locations will be considered.  The candidate will be expected to report into the New York office about once per quarter and telecommuting otherwise.

Senior Analyst/Industry Analyst Mobile Wireless

ABI Research, a fast-growing industry research and advisory firm, is currently seeking a lead analyst for its coverage of mobile and wireless markets. The Analyst will be responsible for contribution to a research service that will be focused on one or two key areas: devices, device software, applications, services, bluetooth, Wi-Fi, UWB, networks, semiconductors and subscribers. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide ABI Research clients with strategic advice and insights on the market for wireless network infrastructure, including both core networks and radio access networks
  • Manage and develop ABI Research’s Wireless Infrastructure syndicated information service, providing guidance and input based on clients’ needs and industry trends
  • Maintain a high industry profile, promoting ABI Research’s information services through regular contact with key industry players, participation in industry events, authoring articles, delivering presentations, and interacting with the press
  • Support sales and business development activities by preparing customer-specific analysis, and participating in key meetings with clients, prospects, and partners
  • Author syndicated research reports, research briefs, market forecasts, and articles within one or more areas of personal expertise
  • Work on custom research and consulting projects, providing leadership on approach and methodology


Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of the wireless industry, including strong familiarity with major players, competitive dynamics, technology & business issues, and market trends
  • Strong quantitative analysis capabilities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer-centric, open-minded approach to solving business and analytical problems
  • Experience in product management, new product development, product marketing, market research, or industry analysis is strongly preferred
  • New York plus client visits and industry events
  • At least 5 years industry experience; market analysis experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred

Research Associate - Wireless (London)

ABI Research, a fast-growing industry research and advisory firm, is currently seeking a Research Associate to assist senior research staff in analyzing the global Mobile & Wireless marketplace. The Research Associate is responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing market intelligence information related to worldwide mobile wireless subscribers, service providers, equipment vendors, and regulatory agencies.


Responsibilities include:

  • Execution of qualitative- and quantitative-based strategic and tactical research projects
  • Gathering of critical information via primary and secondary research
  • Ensuring the integrity and correct interpretation of all market research information
  • Conducting thorough and careful analyses of market data, offerings, trends, and issues
  • Collection and analysis of data for Wireless companies, including earnings-release information, market share analysis, and other key operating metrics
  • Daily coverage of news stories and industry trends to maintain ABI Research’s market databases and help keep senior analysts abreast of key developments
  • Assistance in compilation of quarterly Market Data reports

  • Bachelors degree or higher
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Multilingual communication skills are a plus

Salary and title are commensurate with experience. We require no direct experience doing industry research, as we will train the proper candidate.

ABI Research, a fast-growing industry research and advisory firm, is currently seeking an analyst candidate to support its forecasting of the African market. The Forecasting Analyst, Africa is responsible for quantitative data collection within the region for several key sectors, including: Mobile, Pay TV, Broadband and Digital Media.

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Assume overall responsibility for all forecasts for Africa
  • Based upon direction of forecasting VPs, collect quantitative data from secondary sources, assemble additional data from primary research interviews, extrapolate missing data and forecast data five years
  • Execute quantitative custom research projects
  • Liaise with prospects and clients for ongoing support
Competencies:
  • Experience in market research or industry analysis is preferred
