Clearwire Says 30M subs by 2017

As a public company, I think Clearwire is playing the role of Cautiously Conservative Clearwire.

Depending on how fast they can get many consumer electronics devices using WiMAX before LTE devices, and depending on how palatable service pricing will be, they could have a greater number of subscribers by an earlier year. This is such a new territory and there are so many wildcards.  And if you are looking at NA, then you have to add the spectrum and potential of Xanadoo, Horizon WiComm, small ISPs, etc. as well, and then also add Inukshuk, which could possibly adopt a strategy of mirroring Clearwire, much like Alltel has done with Verizon Wireless.
