Rumor Mill - A Well-Known WiMAX Vendor Will Go Public
Author: Philip Solis, Principal Analyst, Mobile Broadband Wed, 29 Nov 2006 18:04:46 EST A very well-known WiMAX vendor may soon announce that they are going public - Redline. This is still on the side of rumor, but has been reported by WiMAX Day. This is just another example of the solidifying WiMAX market. We have seen hype calm down into a sense of reality, and we are seeing WiMAX vendors sell off unrelated business units and going public. Alvarion and Airspan are already publicly traded companies. One of the next steps will be consolidation. Small companies may merge, large telecom vendors may purchase WiMAX startups, etc. View More Blogs From Philip Solis |
