FubuHulu? Facebook Meets Hulu and I Like It

I've been a fan of Hulu since beta, and my fondness for Facebook grows by the day. Imagine if the two meet! I actually stumbled across the new Facebook app today that allows for Hulu streamed video within Facebook. While not all of the shows are available, it has a pretty good selection. Now, I think overall I would choose to go straight to Hulu to watch the shows if the selection on FubuHulu remains limited and smaller, but you can start to see where Facebook's open API approach to app development will allow for integration of popular services such as Hulu. I can see how this approach will only serve Hulu and its NBC and Fox parents well, especially if the app can start to build community features and recommendation around Hulu content. The ads stay within the content, as the content is still being served up through Hulu and Facebook is simply acting as a syndicate (although its not clear from what I can see of the app its an official part of the Hulu affiliate program). Either way, I think that integration of Hulu into Facebook makes alot of sense, especially since it allows instant playback of content without having to go through sign up with Hulu. I think ultimately this could drive registrations back to Hulu for those users who want to get access to a broader library, full-screen playback (which I couldn't get within Facebook), etc.

Now, back to watching Buster on Arrested Development.
