Living Room Web Browsing: The New New NEW Thing

A company called Red Kawa just released its SofaTube app, which converts video to be viewed through a "living room" browser such as those in the PS3 and Nintendo Wii. I've already commented on how I believe the browsers in game consoles could be game-changers since they are 1)devices that will see ten-million plus installed base numbers in fairly short order and 2)nearly all of these consoles will be broadband connected. I plan to tinker with the PS3 video converter on the Red Kawa site and check it out on the PS3 browser. Hopefully an update will be forthcoming after the holidays!

I also expect to see alot of action in this space in the future. Expect more software app vendors to start focusing exclusively on living room web capabilities in 2007.
